The 2018 Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engine sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari. The 458 Italia replaced the F430 and was first officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was succeeded by the 488, which was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

The Convertible Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine which was developed in collaboration with Maserati. The engine produces 562 bhp (570 PS; 419 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 540 N⋅m (398 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm with 80% torque available at 3,250 rpm. The engine features direct injection, which is a first for Ferrari mid-engine setups in a series production car. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission was developed by Getrag and Ferrari Powertrain and was designed to improve the car’s performance and responsiveness.
